Gaza Strip, 23, October, 2008-PCAS- Independent MP Jamal El Khoudary, Chairman of the Popular Committee Against Siege PCAS and children from Gaza kindled the torch of siege “Break The Siege” in Gaza City.
The torch is a start of a set of actions activities across some Arab and foreign countries.
El Khoudary said at press conference during the action.” This torch relay a message to the world that our people still strong, patient and adamant to break the blockade and restore the stolen rights and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.”
The MP referred to the torch as the beginning of a series events launched by PCAS for a week on the first anniversary of the founding PCAS which aims at telling the untold stories of Gaza population.
He pointed out that the launch events is in support of dead patients, sick people, trapped students, jobless and unemployed people.
“PCAS did not spare efforts to expose the practices of the occupation whose actions were not clear to public. Many issues raised by the Committee for and we succeeded to bring more eyes and attention on Gaza while its people were silently dying.” the MP added.
El Khoudary revealed that several boats and airplanes would come to Gaza in support of poor and oppressed people.
The PCAS week of actions organized by PCAS would include a boat coming to Gaza from Cyprus. Additionally, an official European delegation would be visiting Gaza early in November.
